I'm not much of a graphic designer or web site developer, but I was able to put this little thing together with an old version of FrontPage and a little knowledge of HTML.  I would like for it to be a bit more sophisticated except the tools I have limit my abilities.  I'll continue to tweak it as I find better ideas and tools.

I landed in telecommunications profession after attending two excellent universities:  Iowa State and Carnegie-Mellon.  ISU provided a broad-based knowledge of Electrical Engineering and taught me how to continue learning.  CMU honed those skills while focusing on the discipline of optical communications.  I am lucky to have them as the foundation which to build my career.

For 20 years, I have built a career around the creation and marketing of leading-edge telecommunications products.  I have worked at leading telecommunications vendors like AT&T Bell Laboratories (Lucent Technologies), DSC Communications (Alcatel), and Applied Digital Access (JDSU).  I have spent time at smaller companies such as Metro-Optix and Carrier Access.  Between those last two positions, I started Inphotonics Research to help smaller semiconductor and equipment companies develop new products and marketing strategies.  The projects have ranged from developing a strategy for a communications IC business to tactical product marketing and business development/sales.  Once again Inphotonics Research is up and running while I try to find the next position in my career.  We are willing to take on short or long-term projects in the area of optical communications, VoIP, IPTV, IMS, service assurance, and other convergence technologies.  

While keeping Inphotonics Research going, I am looking for the next move in my career.  A challenge that will exercise my knowledge of customer's needs and market knowledge to create innovative products or services.  The company can be big or small, and it does not have to be in telecommunications.  I have a wide range of technological and business experience applicable to any high technology company.  Product Management, Product Marketing, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Systems Engineer, and Sales are all positions that I have held.
